As we know, if we want to move in the space conditions we need to throw something out from our vehicle. However, while we use rocket fuel we still carrying heavy fuel tanks.

That is why all the rockets need to separate already used tanks, so they would not carry unnecessary weight.

Such constructions have a lot benefits, but at the same time - they create a shock kick out for separating parts which can brake or even destroy a spacecraft

WE FOUND THE SOLUTION FOR THIS DRAWBACK

We present you “Heat and Jump off”

It consists of several parts:

Two Shafts

Two Springs

Heater

Isolator

Principle of operation

The process of separation is visualized in this video

1. When it comes to separate spacecraft we turn on the 18W heater

2. Heating Isolator results in its expanding and becoming guiding for the shafts separation

3. Springs push shafts into the opposite sides and cause separation process
