FAQs

  • When will we know class rank/valedictorian/ salutatorian?
  • How is GPA and rank calculated?
  • What is weighted v. unweighted GPA?

16 of 18

GPA & Class Rank

  • Our GPA is a direct correlation from numerical to 4.0
  • GPA is figured from semester averages ONLY
  • Rank is determined by cumulative GPA
  • ALL CLASSES count for GPA except athletics and local credit (office aid, RTI, etc.)
  • Valedictorian/Salutatorian will be finalized at the end of the 5th six weeks (*6th six weeks grades still count for credit)
  • Unweighted GPA is the GPA without extra points for dual credit and including all classes. Mrs. Couch can calculate if needed.

FAQs

  • How and when do we know how much money we will get from our FAFSA? The amount is determined by each school and can be found in each college’s portal.
  • How do we find out about scholarships? Green paper in folder, google classroom, each college’s website
  • How do I make sure I have everything sent? You must use remind or google classroom to let Mrs. Couch know when you have finished an application. She will let you know when it is sent; and the college’s portal will tell you if it is received.
  • What are college days? How can I use them? 2. See information on yellow form in folder.
