The Roadmap comes at a time of unprecedented opportunity for Colorado to strategically invest in Health IT solutions. Health IT offers an opportunity to advance these goals by creating inclusive and equitable access to information and resources while improving the quality and value of care that individuals receive, It’s widespread availability and use can support the coordination of whole person care, public health response and population health improvement.

The three goals support a shared vision of affordability, accessibility and equity for all Coloradans. Creating health equity requires eliminating barriers that limit opportunities to thrive. Creating digital health equity using health IT and digital health solutions requires intentional efforts to build digital inclusion. This means ensuring that all individuals and communities have access to technologies and the support and skills to use them.

Consent management is a statewide approach to securely sharing health data and supporting people in getting the help they need while maintaining their privacy and respecting their healthcare choices.
