MPPFA Commitment

  • Use funds received during the same year to support students, departments and campus-wide improvements

I donate to classrooms and pay property tax. Why donate to MPPFA as well?

  • Donations to classrooms fund lab materials, workbooks, books, classroom supplies, etc. Not sufficient for larger classroom expenses or campus-wide initiatives
  • State funding formula for FUSD is not favorable. FUSD is forced to make cuts to balance the budget
  • MSJHS is 57 years old. Cost of maintenance is high and going higher.
  • Inflation and cost for events, facilities is high, MPPFA as a non-profit can help subsidize
  • We support your students and teachers, and they need this!

  • Vending machine malfunction -- neither in the gym quad is working
  • Seniors/Juniors have posted and advertised the recent MPPFA form, so hoping for the response numbers to go up
  • Ongoing Freshman MPPFA rep election; will introduce him/her at next meeting
  • Very successful blood drive, lots of people donated
  • Seniors finished 12th grade SAT last Wednesday
  • 11th grade PSAT coming up
  • Coming up: AP Literature trip (for seniors) on Oct 16

Traffic Updates

  • New traffic spot near mission blvd loop added for student safety!
  • Traffic volunteer management portal launched
  • Self management of preferences and availability of volunteers at portal
  • Additional set of equipments (Signs, Flags, Vests, raincoats) purchased
  • Storage system yet to be purchased
  • Goal to reach 35 volunteers to provide 100% coverage (1 hour/week)
  • Thanks to newly recruited 10 volunteers 🙏
  • We are still short of 12 volunteers

PAC Updates

What we do

  • MPPFA PAC aims to empower MSJHS families by providing:
  • resources and advocacy for students/parents to assist them in addressing unresolved issues related to their child’s educational experience at MSJHS
  • tools and peer support for families engaged in the complaint process with school or district authorities (providing transparency and assistance)
  • a forum for engaging all families and voice their needs or concerns, and challenges
  • Advocacy to streamline and simplify the complaint process with FUSD
