Through an immersive workplace experience, participants will discover exciting careers in technology and learn how innovative security and automation systems are designed and used to help keep people, homes, and businesses safe.

Register early, as space is limited.

Participants will:

• Learn about the employer, their industry, and the products, services, and career opportunities they offer.
• Visit an active business site and interact directly with industry professionals.
• Participate in hands-on activities, workplace tours, and demonstrations that provide authentic exposure to the work environment.
• See how classroom learning is applied in real-world workplace settings.
• Connect with industry professionals and gain insight into the educational and career pathways that can lead their success.

Registration begins on Thursday, September 10 at 9:30 a.m. If you are interested please see Ms. Palumbo in Student Services between 8:00am - 9:30am or in room 222 the rest of the day for more details!!

The Inspiration: Blends the designer’s roots in Iqaluit with her journey to Ottawa, honouring and respecting all communities on Turtle Island.

​

Symbolism:

Turtle - Represents Turtle Island, connecting to Indigenous creation stories and teachings.

Bird - Represents diverse Indigenous nations across the land, celebrating unique traditions while highlighting our shared connection.

“We are all one” - in both English and Inuktitut syllabics to deliver a core message of unity and mutual respect.

​

Overall Meaning: A tribute to history, culture and identity that recognizes the vital importance of every Indigenous community in Canada.

VOLUNTEER SECTION

Watson's Mill Manotick: Volunteer Opportunity, Haunt Nights,

October 22- 24

Do you have what it takes? Watson’s Mill in Manotick wants you to join our cast and crew for a truly haunting experience. We need volunteers to help with make up and costuming, as well as to scare our visitors and leave them frightened of things that go bump in the night.

Haunt Night volunteers will be needed for the evenings of October 22, 23, and 24 from 5pm – 9:45pm.

All time spent as part of our cast and crew can be used towards the 40 hours of community service needed to graduate.
