At EBIS we would like to bring more diversity into the library so we would be happy if you could bring any books from your culture. If you do happen to have any books please bring them to Alexandra in room one.

Use hero forge to design your own character. it could be a character from your favourite book or a completely made up one too.

Book Kahoots
We will be hosting some different types of book kahoots in the library at lunchtime on Friday the 16th of April.
You will need to bring your Chromebook.
Book or movie?
What was first?
What was first- book or movie? In this quiz we will have multiple books that are also movies- and movies that are also books. Which of that series came first? Get together with friends and test your knowledge!!
This will be shared with your classroom teacher.
How many books can you read?
From Saturday the 10th of April until Friday the 16th of April there will be a competition on to read as many books as you can.
There will be a prize for the person who reads the most graphic novels, and a prize for the person who reads the most novels over 150 pages.
To enter the competition email Sophia Riches (sophia95359@ebis.school.nz) on Friday the 16th stating how many graphic novels/novels you have read over the past week, and a short description of each book, written in your own words.
Writing competition
For International book day I have opened a writing competition, the type of writing is short stories based on Anzac day. All you need to do is write a short story that is around 1 page long, and that is based around Anzac day.
If you are keen please get your entry in by Friday 16th of April. Please email your short story to Alexandra Tierney. There will be a small prize provided by me because this is just for fun.

Reading Response
competition
For this competition, you need to create a response (diorama, poster, etc.) about a book you read. The response can explain the whole book, a particular part, or a character, etc.
Hand your response into room 13 by Thursday the 15th of April. There will be a prize for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. The winners will be announced at the first assembly of term 1.
