• Students use their NPS username and password when signing into the Secure Tester App

Chromebook: Do not sign in to the Chromebook. The “Schoolnet Secure Tester” is in “Apps.”

Starting the Test

Student enter the online passcode for the test and then click Go

Confirm Information

• Have students confirm that the correct test name and class appears and then click Start Your Test

It may take a moment for the test to load. When the button turns blue you can click Start Test Now.

Test Navigation & Tools

• If you aren’t sure about your answer choice, bookmark the item to review it later, if you have time
• A blue flag appears in the review menu so you can quickly jump to bookmarked items

• Use the notepad to make any notes that will help you to answer the test item
• This text will not get submitted with your answers; think of it like scrap paper

Exhibits

Some items may have a file attachment with support information for you to use

If you aren’t sure of the right answer, but can eliminate some, it may be helpful to cross those out

Gridded Items

With a gridded response item, either click the correct bubble or type in your answer.

Review and Submit

After you answer the last item, a summary screen provides you the chance to review and unanswered or bookmarked items. Be sure to submit your test.
