Create your account!

  • Click the image on the right to go to Edpuzzle

  • Sign up as a teacher

  • Sign up with Google

  • From your dashboard navigation bar, you can:
    • Search the vast bank of video channels
    • View your content (lessons you’ve created)
    • View/create your classes and view assigned lessons along with student progress
    • Share your lessons with other teachers
    • View your profile

  • Click on “My Classes” from the top toolbar.

  • Click on “Import from Google Classroom” found on the left.

  • From the popup window, select your classes of choice.

  • Next, simply click the import button.

  1. Click “My Classes”
  2. Click “Add Class” on the left.
  3. Name your class and click the check mark.
  4. Invite your students to join by clicking the blue “Invite” button in the upper lefthand corner.

Search Various Channels/Video Hosting Sites, Use/Edit Ready-Made Lessons, or Upload Your Own

  • Once you have found or uploaded your video you can use the video toolbar to:
    • Crop the video clip

    • Record an explanation, narration, or translation of the video

    • Add voice comments

    • Add quizzes (open ended, multiple choice, textual comments)

Edpuzzle also provides a brief video tutorial option once you click on the scissors icon.

Simply click the microphone to start recording; you can stop and start again at any time. Edpuzzle provides a brief video tutorial option for this as well.

Choose any point in the video to add a voice comment and click the yellow microphone to begin and end your recording. When played back, the video will pause and play your recording. A tutorial is again provided.

Choose any point in your video and click the “?” icon and you have the option to embed an open response question, multiple choice question, and a textual comment/note. Like the others, a tutorial is provided. See next slides for options.

  • The open-ended response is the first option (?).
  • Simply type your question in the box.
  • Use the box’s toolbar for special font features, mathematical expressions, to add an outside link, and/or to add a picture.

  • The second option is the multiple choice.
  • Type your question in the first box and the answer choices in the boxes that follow.
  • Click the “Add answer” to add additional choices.
  • Click the green checkmark to choose which is correct, and the red X for those that are incorrect.

Assigning the Lesson

Go to “My Content” and check the box(es) of the video(s) you want to assign.

  • After selecting your video(s) to assign, a popup will appear for you to choose which class(es) to assign the lesson to.
  • Check the “Prevent skipping” box to keep students from skipping through the video.
  • Check the “Due date” box to set a due date.
  • Click “Send” when finished.

Assessing the work

  • Click on “My Classes”
  • Click on “Progress” of your video assignment
  • Multiple Choice will be auto graded; click “Grade” to grade the open response
  • Click the orange “Export” to download the results into a spreadsheet

Chrome Extension - If you are surfing YouTube or another video site then this extension makes it easy to save that video to your EDPuzzle Content.
