Homework/Fluency folders are coming home in your child’s backpack. These are the green folders. They have skills that your child can practice and will need to master by the end of the year. There is a dry erase marker so that they can practice letter, number and name formation.

The weekly homework is an important part of your student’s learning. It is a time when they can reinforce the skills they are learning. Please make the time to complete all of it and turn it in. This time that you spending with your child right now is teaching them the study habits that they will need in the suture grades.

I hope you all had a wonderful break and were able to spend time with family and friends. We are in the last quarter of kindergarten! Can you believe it??? The kids and I have talked about how important it is to keep working hard until the end! It is a busy time, but so much fun!

Today during the UFLI test each and every student worked very hard. I was amazed as I watched them take time to sound out words. When they worked on the sentences at the end it was so awesome to see them take a 6 word sentence and sound out each word. They also remembered spacing and punctuation! I know each word is not always right but they are so close! Give your child a high five today!
