Logging into Seesaw

  • If your child’s teacher sent you a link, click on it to connect...
    • If you do not have an account, you will set one up.
    • If you already have an account, sign in.
  • If your child’s teacher sent you a paper or QR code…
    • Download the “Seesaw Family” app
    • Click “I am a Family Member”
      • If you do not have an account, create one and scan the QR code
      • If you have an existing account, sign in and scan the QR code.

Notification Settings

You can receive EMAIL, TEXT or PUSH notification when you child or your child’s teacher posts something.

  • Email Notifications:
    • Choose All, Once Per Day or Never
  • Push Notifications:
    • Choose All, Once Per Day or Never
  • Text (SMS) Notifications:
    • Toggle on or off. You will need to add a phone number in order to have this on.

Click on your name in the top left corner.

Click on the gear

Click on account settings.

What if I have children in different classrooms?

1. Click on the Journals Tab at the top (web) or bottom (app) of your page and select the child whose Journal you want to look at.

Click on the class that you want to look at. Students could be in multiple classes (co-curriculars, specialist)

Your Child’s Journal

  • Will show your child’s work in order of completion
  • You will be able to see comments from the teacher
  • Click on the heart to like your child’s work
  • Click on the speech bubble to comment on your child’s work!
  • The three dots in the bottom right hand corner allows you to share your child’s work with family
  • If you click “In Response To” at the top, you can see the directions your child was given.

  1. Under the INBOX tab, you can see the messages from your child’s teacher.
  2. Click which child’s teacher you’d like to communicate with (if you have more than once child)
  3. To message a teacher…
    1. Click on the box at the bottom of the page
    2. The + sign next to the text box is where you can…
      1. take/add a photo
      2. Add a drawing
      3. Record and add a video
      4. Upload a file
      5. Share a link
