About the Project

Project R.I.C.E.+ is an annual, nation-wide collection & distribution drive championed by youth leaders from the Singapore Red Cross. Every year, we partner with Sheng Siong to bring food and daily essentials to vulnerable families.

  • Work closely with other Project Directors to oversee project in its entirety
    • Write up proposals
    • Plan timelines
    • Delegate responsibility to subcommittees
    • Ensure adherence to deadlines
    • Closer oversight of 1-2 subcommittee cells (Exact allocation to be discussed following personnel selection)
  • Communicate and work closely with Red Cross staff and external partners for the entirety of the project
    • Ensure that internal regulations are adhered
    • Build relationship with external partners

  • All responsibilities of HR & Finance Executive
  • Leadership: Lead a team of executives to accomplish tasks on time and on target
    • Handle unique situations when required (Tough queries from volunteers, manpower emergencies)
    • Maintain oversight on volunteer recruitment process
  • Communication: Serve as a communication bridge between PDs and department
  • Financial planning: Create and ensure adherence to budget for specific project needs

  • Volunteer Recruitment: Handle all tasks relating to volunteer recruitment such as but not limited to:
    • Conducting volunteer briefing
    • Attending to volunteer queries via email/texts/calls
    • Crediting volunteer hours
  • Volunteer coordination: Plan volunteer deployment effectively
    • Ensure manpower is well distributed while considering volunteers’ requests
  • Welfare: Ensure volunteers are taken care of (e.g. food, water, first-aid kit)

  • All responsibilities of Publicity Executive
  • Leadership: Lead a team of executives to accomplish tasks on time and on target
    • Ensure timeline for posting publicity materials is adhered to
    • Oversee design and ensure materials appeal to audience
  • Communication: Serve as a communication bridge between PDs and department
  • Innovate: Brainstorm and initiate innovative content to increase engagement
  • Communicate closely with Logs & Marketing team to secure external sponsorships
  • Design: Design marketing collaterals (posters, flyers, t-shirts, infographics, etc)
  • Digital management: Maintain digital marketing channels like Facebook, Instagram, and Website
  • Planning: Prepare and maintain a marketing calendar covering digital and print marketing strategies
  • Photography: Take photos and videos on days of event execution
  • Marketing: Liaise and Secure sponsorships with external stakeholders while working closely with the Logistics & Marketing Team

  • Sponsorships: Negotiate and liaise with sponsors to ensure balance between sponsor requests and project’s needs

  • Leadership: Lead a team of executives to accomplish tasks on time and on target
    • Handle unique situations during the negotiation process
    • Maintain oversight of sponsorship pitch period
    • Draft emails
  • Communication: Serve as a communication bridge between PDs and Pubs Department

  • Liaison: Liaise with Family Service Centres (FSCs) and Community Centres/Clubs (CCs) via email and/or phone
  • Build rapport: Provide positive experience for FSCs and CCs that collaborate with us by attending to queries and requests made promptly and effectively
  • Needs analysis: Actively keep track of FSC and CCs’ submissions for bundles during planning phase
  • All responsibilities of District Head
  • Leadership: Lead a team of District Heads to accomplish tasks on time and on target
    • Draft emails to be sent to Family Service Centres/Community Centres
    • Check on the status of the District Heads’ emails and follow up when necessary
    • Handle unique cases when required
  • Communication: Serve as a communication bridge between PDs and department
  • Plan and Execute: In charge of Beneficiary Engagement Day in collaboration with the Logistics and Marketing team
