Fraction Sense

We can estimate whether a fraction is close to 1 whole, close to ½ or close to 0. We do this by comparing its numerator to its denominator.

• Count the number of pieces the the space between 0 and 1 is broken into. That will be your denominator.
• Count the number of spaces your dot has travelled across. That will be your numerator.
