Budget for 2024-25

California estimated revenue loss will cause significant cuts in Education finding.

Sunsetting of ESSER III (COVID) -currently the $5.6 billion of total COVID funds represents almost 50% of one fiscal year’s general Funds budget. Affected positions include speech therapists, interventionists, maintenance personnel, school psychologists,and more.

Targeted Student Population funds-to address students’ needs set through the Student Equity Needs Index (SENI), a set of academic and community indicators. Intended to close the achievement gap for English language learners, low-income, and students in foster care.

Allocations by the District

  • Norm based teaching positions: 15+4. Currently we have 15+6
  • Resource Specialist + itinerant RST and 1 RSP Aide. Administrator 1 principal
  • APEIS (special education administrator-shared with other schools). District will reduce total number of APEIS district-wide.
  • Office staff (SAA & Office tech) 2 positions
  • Maintenance (PM and B&G worker) 2 positions
  • Nurse (# of days not confirmed)
  • School psychologist (less than 1 day)
  • Library Aide ($65,716 for 6 hours a day)
  • Campus Aides (2 positions for 3 hours per day each).
  • Instructional Aide for TK -2 positions
  • Instructional Aides 14 position (3 hours a day)
  • 1.5 semester of Art (we currently have Theatre and Dance)
  • Overnight field trips
