Directions: Throughout your reading journals, you should have compiled a list of 9 questions based on topics, key ideas and themes in the book, The Hate U Give.

Using My Research to Build My Argument

It is time to build your argument. You will write an argumentative essay, using your research findings to answer the question:

Paper Format:

ALL papers must be TYPED in correct MLA format.

  • Document Settings 1 inch margins; double spaced; 12-point size, Times New Roman Font

  • Header Name and page number, upper right of every page

  • Title Assignment info (Your Name, Teacher’s Name, Class, Date, Title)

  • Citations Author’s name or corporate author introduced or in parenthesis at the end of the quote.
