Dear Teachers,

At Scholastic News, we pride ourselves on delivering engaging current events articles that inspire curiosity and spark meaningful conversations. And since Scholastic News Edition 3 is the only magazine created just for third graders, you can count us to make us to make real-world topics relatable to your students. On the next few slides you’ll get a sneak peek at some of the topics we plan to cover during the 2025-26 school year.

As a news magazine, we need to be flexible to make sure we’re covering the most current appropriate topics for your students. That means some content may be subject to change. But you can rest assured that Scholastic News will always help your students make sense of the world around them.

One thing’s for sure–we’ll be counting down to our country’s 250th birthday in 2026. So you can expect a year-long celebration of the people and events that helped shaped our nation.

We love hearing from teachers, and we’d be happy to answer any questions or hear any feedback you have to share. You can reach us at scholasticnews3@scholastic.com. Thank you for making Scholastic News a part of your classroom!

Sincerely,

Rebecca Zissou, Editor, and the Scholastic News Team
