Introduce evidence: A recent study found that people with a “bachelor’s degrees earned $900,000 more in a lifetime than high-school graduates” (Gleeson 2).

Explain evidence: Based on this evidence, having a bachelor’s degree amounts to earning $30,000 more per year in a 30 year career. In a two-income family, that’s an additional $60,000 per year. This is a significant difference that can dramatically affect a person’s lifestyle.
