Use Quick Selection tool to subtract background.

  • SHORTCUT KEYS: Zoom in/out, increase/decrease brush size, subtract from selection/ add to selection.

Match image quality: ADD NOISE filter to SHAZAM.

Create SHADOW for SHAZAM

  1. Create NEW LAYER (and rename as Shadow)
  2. Use BRUSH TOOL
  3. Draw a black shadow on the background of SHAZAM’s layer

Apply GAUSSIAN BLUR effect on the shadow layer

Reduce the shadow’s layer to 66% opacity

Create NEW LAYER to make SHAZAM’s reflection.

  • SHORTCUT KEYS: POLYGONAL LASSO Tool,
  • Duplicate the SHAZAM’s layer
  • Rename the layer as reflection

Adjust the colour correct for reflection layer:

  • HUE/SATURATION (Image → Adjustments)

Apply RIPPLE filter to SHAZAM’s reflection layer.

Based on SHAZAM exercise, create the same steps and insert your own photo to replace the SHAZAM’s layer by following these steps:

  1. Take a photo of yourself using the right lighting techniques
  2. Apply the Shazam’s exercise techniques
  3. Replace the Shazam’s layer with YOUR OWN PHOTO
  4. Apply suitable Color Correction to finalize your work

Eye level refers to when the level of your camera is placed at the same height as the eyes of the characters in your frame.

  1. Match FOCAL LENGTH (camera lens):�Use smartphone standard camera angle (ZOOM IN, but not too much)�
  2. Choose clean/ plain wall for easier clean up in Photoshop.

TIPS:

- Create a distant between subject and background (negative space)

- DON’T shoot at night, or low light condition.
