It was a wonderful upbringing, until he turned eighteen. Then, instead of the responsible older brother, he became the burdened heir, destined to inherit an empire begging to fall. At this age, he was asked by his father, the king, to begin attending to his familial responsibilities. As a starter, he was sent to the colonies in new Spain in order to administer the orders of labor systems.
However, Emmanuel never liked the system of his fathers crown. He knew of his privilege, and that he was lucky to have the resources he did. Did everyone else not deserve at least something similar? Consequently, he was becoming a valiant soldier helping Spain within the confines of the Latin American revolution. Until one day, his mother passed away back home. He never got to say goodbye, and he blamed his father for sending him to do colonial dirty work.
He returned quickly in the middle of war for the wake and funeral, but it still felt too late. His father could not even look at Em, he was a reminder of everything he had lost, and so he sent him away to England unable to finish the war, apt for distractions to recover him from the parasites plaguing his mind.

Emmanuel is so clearly fit to be king, just from one look at him. He is a serious man, dedicated to protecting his subjects and obtaining justice. Standing tall, people seldom consider him below them. He is serious about his honor, and prioritizes respect over pride.
He would seem quite dull to speak to. Although he does intimidate opponents and sometimes comrades as well, he can also be very deep when one looks past his so formal tone of speech. He is an artist not in terms of enjoying imagery and melody necessarily, but more the message it conveys. He is so righteous, frequently speaking of philosophy and analysis of fiction and life itself. He is very passionate.
Obviously, this does not make a man who is tender nor overly affectionate. When called upon, Emma will give attention to those who ask, however they may ask, but independently he prefers to believe that a man’s emotions are to be resolved in private. He prefers to give money and gifts rather than say words, but those he does say are very poetic.
There are few thing he fears, for he is happy to partake in duels, defend the underdog, bleed for his people, He is the first to bend over backwards for others, what he does not feed into much is his own pleasure. He has very dark desires, stemming from a primal urge within his core, he wishes not to feed them, even if it means he may not love.

Moreover, Belle was Raised in a household that valued education and culture, and she developed a passion for learning and the written word. She found solace in books, immersing herself in literary works and expanding her knowledge. This love for reading led her to discover her talent for writing, where she could express her thoughts and ideas with eloquence and wit. She is known for her horse riding skills and her embroidery, which she always wore to events. For a woman who swore up and down she had no need for marriages, she sure loved dressing to impress and to envy. To most people, Belle is seen as prideful and uptight, but the latter is not so true. Belle is anything but uptight, and everyone who actually knew her would tell you that. She was a lady who loved fun, who loved to embroider, dress herself up, and have tea parties with her younger and elder sister. She loved to talk to her flowers as if they could talk back to her and give her advice, and she still owned the little doll her father had given her as a child. Just because, aside from beauty, Belle was not seen as the 'ideal' woman did not mean that she did not know how to have fun; after all, there is no such thing as a life without fun. Vincent found Orpheus’ love for Corin off putting in that he had both a father and older brother to look after him. That was something that kept him at night and he wouldn’t give up on it until he figures it out. Maybe that’s why Archie is now the master of illusion and tricks, and why he founds himself spending more time in the gentleman’s club than at the funeral home. But don’t be fooled by his exteriror - there’s good in Archie’s heart. If there is one thing he cares most about that’s his family. They were all raised to value and be there for each other, even if one of them was in the wrong you have to stick with and protect your family - family is all you have after all. If they can’t do it then you must clean up the mess they might’ve made, if they urgently need you you must drop everything you’re doing and go to them. That’s not only how Archie and his siblings were raised, but generations and generations of Hastingstons. Thus, when she had died when he had turned 16, Klaus had obviously not taken it the best, especially since he could have prevented her death if he had not been so weak and his father had seemed to think it too, especially when he had confessed something. ‘It was his fault’ his father often rang in his ears, ‘no Shafer is weakling’ his father would often say and when Klaus would make a mistake, it would lead to quite a lot of unfavorable punishments. He had taken boxing as a hobby and gotten good at it, it was his way of getting stronger, so he would be able to protect his family and especially Dough who makes him feel guilty. Superfetation and having an Irish twin a year later are both risky pregnancies and due to the travel conditions Clotiled couldn’t go to England, but Albert had to in order to do his duty as the heir to the house. The girls stayed in Paris, but Calder had to go to England to jump start his an education propper for the next heir. Albert still wrote and visited as often as he could, and during one of those visits that Lucille was conceived. While Frances was taught at home by a tutor, Louisa was sent to a boarding school in Paris as soon as it was acceptable to. There, she had made friends, which she’d kept in contact with, even when the family moved in 1799, when Louisa was eight. The girls moved to England in 1799, a year after Lucille’s brith when Clotilde was determined she wasn’t ill enough to travel and she realized, as much as she loved Paris, she loved being with Albert more.

Having such a business is yet another activity her mother though was less socially acceptable for a woman and hoped to find her a husband who would take it off her hands. Regarding her parents attempts at getting suitors for her, she thwarted them all. Louisa couldn’t care less what society thinks of her, thinking it’s all a waste of time. She’s not some sort of baby factory. Louisa has too much pride for that.

This pain seemed to leave a void within Nikhil's heart, that he always tried to fill by spending time with friends and the family he had left, making him pretty sentimental, but none of it seemed to be enough. Nonetheless, he also seemed to take a bit more of a paternal role with his little sisters, who he was left to care for when his father worked. It suited him, being the affectionate older brother he always had been, but it also made him more protective and traditional, taking it as a given that since they were little women, and he was a little man, that guys were always the ones responsible. As he got older, he and his family recuperated their admirations around the village, and he became the man other men looked up to, and women desired. Consequently, he became a bit self centered, always keeping himself well groomed and behaved. It seemed pretty obvious that he would stay in his homeland and recreate his father's legacy over again. However, he had greater ambitions, taking himself and his middle sister Priti to England where he could make more global connections, and find her a nice European man.

Growing up in an English-Korean household, Corin never questioned authority. He was quick to apologize, and even quicker to thank. His parents raised him as an heir, focusing heavily on supplemental trade knowledge and social etiquette as he grew. His parents hope for him was that he would grow to be the peak of French and English refinement, and a perfect candidate for marrying above his current status. Despite their wealth and knowledge, with Corin’s father being of Korean descent, they relied solely on the ex-title of his mother. His parents hoped he would inherit a larger title and land of his own from a marriage, and Corin happily obliged his parents wishes. In his free time, Corin loved taking walks with his mother, learning to bake with her and his little brother, and staring at the mountain of maps in his father’s study.
