Receiving Funding:

Funding is available to support virtual programming through libraries, even if physical locations have been closed.

Libraries Lead with Digital Skills is an initiative of American Library Association and Public Library Association, sponsored by Google, to ensure that public libraries across the country receive ongoing access to free tools and resources to help everyone across America grow their skills, careers, and businesses. Visit ala.org/pla/initiatives/google for more information and to apply.

New Partner Community Functionality:

The Partner Community now features new virtual training functionality. Now, when registering your event in the “Workshops” section, simply check off the box that says, “This is a webinar or virtual event.” You can virtually present all the same training materials available to you in the “Hosting workshops” resources tab, and we’ll still promote the webinar for you on our events map if you wish.

And we’ve created assets that can help you promote your virtual digital skills workshop, along with digital learning kits that you can share with workshop attendees in advance.
