MAKING A SCRAPBOOK USING INTERESTING NEWPAPER ARTICLES .(newspaper clipping service)

  • “Newspaper Clipping "is the cutting-out of articles from a newspaper.
  • Importance of “Newspaper Clipping “ scrapbook:
  • often used when people have to write a report or make a presentation on current events
  • Clippings may also be kept for future reference or for sentimental reasons such as an article on a history-making event.
  • Clipping can also be used for artistic purposes as in collage. Picasso's "Glass and Bottle of Suze" is an example of this technique.

Dos and don'ts for students to prepare the scrapbook

  • Don'ts
  • Students are not allowed to take clippings of
  • movies/actors /any news related to Bollywood/Hollywood/Kollywood etc.
  • Astrology
  • They are not allowed to come with scissors once they select the articles we will give them scissor and take back then and there itself after they cut the articles.
  • They are not allowed to throw the waste paper in library , they have to take care of cleanliness of library room.

Do’s

  • They can do this project work either in group or individually.
  • They can have a particular theme for the scrapbook or they can make with mixed articles.
  • In case of mixed article scrapbook they have to prepare an index page mentioning the articles with page number.
  • They can select any theme like

  • Games like crossword, suduko,etc.
  • Different type of articles like speaking tree from times of India etc.

Do’s

  • Children can use loose project files or scrapbooks or registers to paste the articles.
  • Children have to paste the articles in a proper manner not in a haphazard manner.
  • They have to mention following details on title page
  • Topic /theme .
  • Group mane with members name if doing in group

  • Academic session .
