The Create performance task focuses specifically on the creation of a computer program through the collaborative and iterative process of programming.
It consist of three components—program code, video, and a Personalized Project Reference containing screen captures of their list and procedure.
*Students need to submit their final performance tasks on the AP Digital Portfolio by April 30.

Computational Thinking
“Thinking like a computer scientist means more than being able to program a computer. It requires thinking at multiple levels of abstraction.”
Computational Thinking
When you go to school in the morning, you put in your backpack the things you need for the day; that’s prefetching and caching
When your son loses his mittens, you suggest he retrace his steps; that’s backtracking.
At what point do you stop renting skis and buy yourself a pair?; that’s online algorithms.
Which line do you stand in at the supermarket?; that’s performance modeling for multi-server systems.
Why does your telephone still work during a power outage?; that’s independence of failure and redundancy in design.

Growth Mindset
In a fixed mindset, people believe their basic abilities are fixed traits. People with fixed mindsets often develop negative self-talk: “I’m not smart,” “I’m bad at math,” “I’ll never be able to do this.”
In a growth mindset, people believe that their most basic abilities can be developed. These people often rely on positive self-talk.
