What is Bob Ross Worthy?

Students have to clean up the art room “Bob Ross Worthy” to earn a Bob Ross head.

They need 6 Bob Ross Heads to earn a Bob Ross Day!

A Bob Ross day is where “Bob Ross” himself ~it’s me dressed up~, they get to watch Bob Ross videos, while making whatever they want or play with blocks, play-doh or jewelry.

To Earn a Bob Ross Head

05

I have velcro spots for each class in my building. I have 6 spots, sort of.

Only one Bob Ross head per class

The art room has to be “Bob Ross Worthy” to earn one

Bob Ross Worthy also applies to behaviors and lining up

Can you lose Bob Ross Heads?

If the room is not Bob Ross worthy, the students can lose a Bob Ross head. OR if they don’t line up on time.

This is only if it is the vast majority of the class that is struggling.

Usually I only have to do this once for them to understand I mean business!

REWARDING THE WHOLE CLASS FOR ONE STUDENT

I LOVE rewarding the whole class with a Bob Ross head for ONE student going above and beyond. I make sure to announce to the whole class that the one student is the reason they earned the Bob Ross head and to say thank you.

Why Bob Ross?

Bob Ross is respectful to himself and others. He always gives himself grace and is the epitome of what I believe an artist should be. Forgiving himself when he makes mistakes, learning from those “happy accidents” and always wanting to include others.

You could do this reward system with any other artist or even themes. It doesn’t have to be Bob Ross Rewards.

My school has incorporated the reward system and chart into other areas of the building.
