Mean/Average

The sum of numbers divided by how many numbers are on the list.

For example, the average of 1,2,3,4,5 is, (1+2+3+4+5)/5

Which is 15/5 = 3

For example, the median of 1,2,3,4,5 is, 3 because it is the number in the middle.
