Mission Statement
Our mission statement is to aid children in hospitals by providing a source of comfort when facing a serious illness. We hope to aid children in hospitals by bringing a source of joy, hope, and spirit during the times when a child is facing an illness.
By providing simple things like puzzles, board games and books, we can impact the life of every child that is fighting to survive. These gifts of love can spread positive spirit and uplift negative feelings of any child!
Our fundraising goal is to raise $5,000 in order to provide these small comforts.
How do fun activities (like toys or games) cheer up children and affect their health?
Toys create a positive mood in children which help them to cope with hospital conditions. It offers reassurance, something familiar, and it immediately decreases the stress and fear in the patient’s room.
By providing toys we can help them cope with their
health issues, as it can be as a distraction. It improves their
mood which also directly helps with their health.

WHAT DO MEMBERS DO?
Members are expected to be active volunteers in the organization and perform tasks on time.
Members will be given weekly tasks based on the team they are in. The tasks will be issued on Monday and the last day for submission of work or informing us of the work done will be on Friday.
Reminder - To be a leader, you must first be a member of the Giving A Ray of Hope.

Graphic Design | 30 min per post |
Writing/Research | 1 hours per article (writing) |
Fundraising/Sponsor | 30 min per every possible donor found |
Marketing | 30 min for each task completed |
*The hours for any additional task could vary as it is dependent on the amount of time and effort put in.
Leadership Form
Anyone can become a leader. There are no specific requirements. Just show off in the leadership application form!!

Lead Website Designer (1 position) (Doesn’t need to be a member of a specific team)
REVOKING MEMBERSHIP
If a member fails to attend 3 mandatory meetings, then they are currently on “hold” from redeeming volunteer hours. This can be quickly recovered by conducting volunteer activity within our organization. Please contact the directors if you ever have any questions.
Members are expected to be active volunteers by participating in all mandatory events (meetings, service projects, etc.).
Same thing applies to a lead, but keep in mind, when applying to a lead, you are making a commitment to this organization and its cause!
