About Laboratory

Power Electronics Lab is a space where students learn about to measure and analyze the operating characteristics of power electronic circuits and power semiconductor devices. They also gain experience with common components like motors, batteries, magnetic devices, and power semiconductors. Also learn about the basic technologies in power electronics, including the operating characteristics of SCR, MOSFET, and IGBT. Students learn how to design circuits for power conversion and use their knowledge in real-life applications like renewable energy system design.

In this lab students gain hands-on experience with a variety of power electronics devices:

Testing of Power Devices: SCR,TRIAC,MOSFET,IGBT, UJT etc

Rectifier: Half wave, full wave

Chopper/ Converter family : Step Up, Step Down
