Student, Family and staff Wellness

We are extending COVID-19 PCR testing to all students returning in Phases I and II. Consent information was provided to families of Phase I & Phase II. PCR testing for students will shift to pooled testing once that is rolled out with the return of students in Phases III & IV. Testing of students in school will prove to be a much more reliable indicator than relying solely upon community health metrics. We encourage full participation!

COVID Testing

Daily Wellness Attestation BEFORE coming to school.

Attestation App

The Framingham Public Schools have adopted MyMedBot App in order to allow all staff and families the ability to engage in a daily attestation of health with regard to COVID symptoms. Students, families and staff will answer a series of COVID-19 related questions each school day via the mobile app (accessible on both mobile phones and computers). While staff are already actively engaging in this attestation, families will soon be provided with instructions.

COVID-19 Room and Testing Protocol

There is a “COVID Room” that is separate from the nurse’s office that will be used for students waiting to be picked up who are presenting with symptoms. This room will be supervised and have a designated single-stall bathroom and sink. The student must have a COVID Test before returning to school. If the student is NOT tested, they can return to school 10 days following symptoms, as long as they’re fever free for a full 24 hours prior and have been cleared by a COVID team member.

COVID-Positive?

Staff must be cleared by a COVID Team Member prior to return.

Students must be cleared by the school nurse and the local board of health.
