In reading, we will be learning about cultures around the world, finding main idea and supporting details. In writing, students will work on thank you letters. In Grammar, we are learning about possessives pronouns. In Spelling, we are focusing on -ed and -ing endings: Running, clapped, stopped, hopping, batted, selling, pinned, cutting, sitting, rubbed, missed, grabbed High Frequency Words: above, again, along, myself, once, piece, they, wanted, table | Students will continue a unit on fractions. They will continue partitioning fractions into halves, fourths, and eighths. We will also be going over denominator and numerator. Spiral Skills that could always use extra practice: 3 Digit Addition & Subtraction, money (identifying and counting a collection of coins), Telling Time (to the 5 minutes) word problems and fact fluency | We will be finishing our unit on Economics. We will be focusing on work provides income to purchase goods and services. Distinguishing between producing and consuming. The development of a product from a natural resource to a finished product. | FIELD DAY LUNCH PREFERENCE *Please fill out this Google Form so we can have an accurate count for sack lunches from the cafeteria.
