Equality – Core of EU

  • The European Union is founded on the value of respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights, including the rights of persons belonging to minorities. These values are common to Member States in a society in which pluralism, non-discrimination, tolerance, justice, solidarity and equality between women and men prevail.

Equality – Core of EU

  • Equality as a core value of the European Union motivates a shared concern for human dignity; the participation by all in economic, social and cultural life; a voice for all groups in decisions that impact on them; and a celebration of diversity. A European Union that values equality, and that gives life to this value, creates societies where all people and social groups flourish. European equal treatment legislation was created to reflect this core value by ensuring the basic principle of equal treatment, and supporting and protecting people who face discrimination.

Examples of Equality (Gender) in Modern literature

  • What makes women and men different? In what ways are they similar? No text. No comments or explanations. No assumptions as to why it evolved this way and not that way. Just a series of funny pictures that illustrate who takes off a sweater by pulling it by the collar and who takes it by the bottom; who lives to 83 and gets married at 30 on average, and who lives to 78 and gets married at 33.

Examples of Equality (Gender) in Modern literature

  • To create this book, the authors spent a year researching an infinite number of statistics and observing women and men on the streets, at home, in the office, in the kitchen, in the bathroom, and everywhere else (not) possible. The authors present the results of their field research easily, with humor, and without unnecessary words (that is, without words at all). Because, after all, there are many things that make us different. And this is wonderful. But if it is sometimes difficult to love all these differences, you can always at least laugh at them.
