Treasurer’s Report: $7601

New Business

  • Vote on new requirement for athletes. Starting with freshman class, 2028, athletes must volunteer 10 hours per year in order to be eligible for scholarship. Motion-Jax Jalone, 2nd-Gena Seigman
  • Require coaches, athletes, or representative for the sport to volunteer during the fundraiser that is being held in order for them to receive funds that are requested. Motion-Jodie, 2nd-Karen Schultz
  • Fundraising Ideas:
    • Teacher Convocation - Following week
    • Purse Bingo - Spring?
    • Salty Gull - 25% of profits raised donated back
  • Needing a new tunnel - cost will be about $11k - need specific fundraiser for that.
  • Sending out an annual newsletter highlighting everything we have done to give back to the athletic programs. Maybe semi-annually?
  • Middle School volleyball concession fundraiser - proceeds to go to the volleyball program
  • Meet the Panthers Aug 21 @ 6:30 pm. We will be handing out hot dogs, chips and water. Karen will check with the Women’s Club to see if they would be willing to donate towards that.
  • Media Day - Aug 7

Treasurer’s Report: Current Balance $3803.24

New Business

  • Introduce new Athletic Director Richard Davis
  • Need to get volunteers for basketball concession stand 2/14
  • Sports Banquet: May 7 has been approved, location will be AP Civic Center, deposit will be made by Kori
  • Motion to only give regular scholarships this year made by Karen Magee, Staci Giles 2nd, all voted yes.
  • Raffle a booze bag - $5/ticket - maybe hold off for purse bingo silent auction
  • Fishing trip raffle - one more, sell spots online
  • Purse Bingo - June 12 @ AP Civic Center
    • Card drawing for big prize (cut deck of cards in half, sell for $20/entry)
    • Reach out to churches to see if we can go under their license for 1 day
    • Look into requirements for a 1-day license
    • Reach out to L&F for drinks sponsorship
    • Committee meeting scheduled for March 11
