Indicating Free Score Report Recipient Every student can have one free AP score report each year sent to any college, university, or scholarship program of their choice. Students indicate the recipient of their free score report at cb.org/apfreescoresend. The deadline for students to indicate or change their free score report recipient is June 20, 2026.

Sanderson HS process for

AP exam registration

  • Registration will happen through College Board. Students Directions to Join your AP Class Room
  • Students will need to login to their College Board account to join the AP Classroom as well as confirm they are registered for the AP exam: Order Exam: Mark Yes/No
    • Students will need to know their email address: myap.collegeboard.org
    • Students will have an account if they have taken the PSAT, SAT or an AP Exam.
    • If students cannot remember their login information, go to the “Need Help Signing In Link” on myap.collegeboard.org or you may contact College Board. DO NOT create an additional account.
    • If students don’t have an account, students will need to create one. Students will use their email address to create an account.

Sanderson HS process for

AP exam registration

  • Students should use a personal email account - not their WCPSS email.
  • Students have begun this process through their AP classes at school.
  • Students must be enrolled into an AP classroom for every AP class they are taking at school.
  • Ensure you use your full legal name as listed on your birth certificate so that colleges can confirm who you are to provide you credit (your name must match your diploma)
  • AP IDs are confidential

Process continued...

  • Students in AP classes have been given a JOIN CODE by their AP teacher. The JOIN CODES are unique to each AP class and section.
  • Once the student is logged into their College Board account, they should click the Join a Course or Exam button. Students will need the JOIN CODE from their AP teacher.
  • After entering the JOIN CODE, students will be enrolled in the AP Classroom which provides course resources.
  • Students can check with their AP teacher for the join code or ask Ms.Alvarez.

Time to REGISTER!! DEADLINE: 10/31/25

For Students enrolled in Fall Semester AP Courses

  • Once all students have joined their AP Class, they are defaulted with the decision of YES they want to take the AP exam.
  • If Students do not want to take the AP Exam, then they MUST make a decision of NO regarding the exam by October 31, 2025 ; and complete the AP Exam Opt Out Form 2025 and print it and obtain all signatures and return to Ms. Alvarez and/or scan the document and email it.
  • If the student chooses not take the exam, Ms. Alvarez will Click NO in College Board, after receiving the student’s AP Exam Opt Out Form 2025.
  • Deadline to make a choice - October 31, 2025

Students that have two exams schedules on the same date and time, what happens?

Ms. Alvarez will review all exam conflicts and adjust exam dates for students based on proctor and location availability. Students will be notified of their exam schedule in second semester.

Exam registration continued

Can a student register for an AP exam in a course that they are not currently taking?

  • YES!!
  • Any exam only registrations done after November 8th are considered late registrations
  • Exam fee= $99
    • late fee $40 + $99= $139
  • Complete the AP Exam Only Registration Form, submit the form to Ms. Alvarez, Pay the Exam Fee, and then Ms. Alvarez will email you a join code for the AP Exam Only.
  • Make Sanderson School Cash Online by November 8th.

AP Fees...let’s talk MONEY!

You have registered for an exam(s), what is it going to cost?

  1. If student is enrolled in the course, the exam cost = FREE
  2. If student requests to register for an AP exam in a course they are not enrolled in the exam cost = $99. (spring exam-only registrations incur a $40 late registration fee)
    1. AP Exam Only Registration Form due by November 8th for the whole academic year.
    2. Student who believe they qualify for a fee reduction, please let Ms. Alvarez know so an eligibility waiver can be completed. AP exam fee with fee reduction = $53.
  3. Request to register for an exam after November 8th - $40 late registration fee.
  4. Cancel an exam registration after November 8th = $40 cancellation fee
  5. No show for an exam in May 2025 = $40 unused exam fee

Where to pay?

All fees will be made through our SchoolCashOnline.com which can be found on the Sanderson website Homepage under Quick Links>School Cash Online.

  • Choose which payment item you need.
  • The late fee, cancellation fee, and unused exam fees will be listed.

Didn’t pay your AP fees - now what?

  • All fees associated with AP exams will be added into the student’s Powerschool account as a fee to be paid.
  • The school must collect all AP fees.
  • The fee stays in the Powerschool account until it is paid.
  • If students do not pay their AP fees, they will not receive graduation tickets.

Fee Waiver Information and Eligibility

Your 2025-26 exam costs are covered; however, we as a school must still report how many students we test who are eligible for a fee waiver per the indicators below. Please know this is confidential info that will not be shared with any entity except College Board.

Please indicate if you are eligible for a fee waiver by selecting one or more of the following criteria:

  • Their family’s annual income falls within the Income Eligibility Guidelines set by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service, or
  • The students are categorically eligible to be directly certified without application for free school meals because they are:
    • In households participating in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR), or in some states, Medicaid benefits, or
    • Unhoused, migrant, runaway, or in foster care, or
    • Enrolled in a federally funded Head Start program.
  • The student is enrolled in a federal, state, or local program that aids students from low-income families (e.g., Federal TRIO programs such as Upward Bound).
  • The student’s family receives public assistance.
  • The student resides in federally subsidized public housing or a foster home or is unhoused. The student is a ward of the state or an orphan.
