New Entrance Vestibule

  • Ring the doorbell. A staff member will ask you for your name/need.
  • Once you are buzzed in, you will see a new office window on your right. The next set of doors will be locked.
  • The cubbies below the window will be used for storage for things being dropped off.
  • If you are volunteering, have a meeting in the building, are visiting for lunch, etc.., you’ll be buzzed through the next set of doors. Most business will be handled at the window.
  • If you are picking up a student, they’ll check out in the office and a staff member will connect you with them at the secure door.

Every person needs to be buzzed into the building. Please do not hold doors or prop doors for other families.

If you are exiting the building and someone is trying to enter, we would ask that you wait to open the door until that person has been buzzed in.

Parent Assessment Information (curriculum night)-3rd

Jeffco students take 3 benchmark assessments in Dibels (K-3) and MAP (K-5) each year. Assessments are given in the beginning of year (Aug), middle of year (Dec), and end of year (May).

Dibels - an assessment of early literacy skills for students in K-3rd grades. Early reading skills assessed are phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, and comprehension.

MAP - an adaptive assessment that provides information for all students regardless if they are currently below, at, or above grade level. MAP is real time data that is aligned to the Colorado Academic Standards. Teachers are looking for performance over time. Scores may decline from one test to the next. One low test score is not cause for immediate concern.

CMAS - The Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) are the state’s common measurement of students’ progress at the end of the school year in English language arts, math, science and social studies. Students in 3rd-8th grade take the CMAS tests in math and English language arts. Students in 5th, 8th and 11th grade take the CMAS science assessments. Testing commonly occurs in April after Spring Break.

Purpose for benchmark assessments - performance over time and classroom data collected by your child’s teacher can provide additional information about your student’s success.
