Student Absences: To inform the school of a student absence, please call the school office at 403-784-3354 (you can press 8 to leave a message.)

Clive School’s telephone system enables parents and the community to contact staff directly and/or leave a message on their voice mail. Dial 403-784-3354 and enter the extension of the person to whom you wish to speak. (A directory is offered if you don’t know the extension number).

Late Students: Students who arrive late to school, either in the morning or after lunch (after the 8:25 or 12:50 bell) MUST report to the office. They will be given a “late slip” to present to their teacher.

Telephone Calls During Instructional Time:

Please note that telephone calls during class time can disrupt student learning; thus we ask that telephone calls to students and staff during class time be limited to cases of urgency. Teachers, EAs and our School Social Worker all have voicemail for non-urgent matters. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Clive School Parent Pact

“Together we’re better!”

In our quest to serve our vision, a partnership must exist between home and school. Research has shown that children are more likely to have successful school experiences if their parents are involved in their education. Please take the time to read through, and commit to, the Parent Pact to ensure the success of your child.

  • Regularly visit the school and attend school events. We encourage you to be actively involved in your child's education and to model the importance of school. Some examples of ways to take part in Clive School's program are School Council, Parent/Teacher interviews, Hot Lunch program, helping at home, crafts, sporting events, communication, etc.
  • Monitor notices sent home, the school website, Swift Reach announcements, and communicate regularly with your son’s/daughter’s teacher.
  • Monitor your child’s homework, as this helps students develop responsibility, character and personal management skills. Homework skills become work skills and attitudes as students move into the workforce. Homework is intended to reinforce learning, to promote practice of skills, to review for exams, and to connect home and school. It is highly recommended that parent(s)/guardian(s) read regularly with their son/daughter. Homework connects the triangle of student, teacher and home (parents and guardians); the Education Team.
  • Time guidelines we recommend as the average for school nights are:

o Grades K-3: 15 to 20 minutes (basically home reading)

o Grades 4-6: up to 30 minutes (assuming ongoing work on long term projects)

o Grades 7-9: about 45 minutes

  • Monitor the use of the telephone, cell phone, television, gaming and internet.
  • Set a reasonable bedtime and wake-up time during the school week, to ensure punctuality and attentiveness.
  • Know who your children’s friends are.
  • Ensure students come to school healthy and well-rested. Children who are too ill to go outside at recess and noon hour are normally too ill to be at school.

Only through the commitment of students, parents and staff can the above be accomplished.

Student Registration and Information

When students are registered for the first time, legal proof of their name, citizenship and birth date is required. Documentation is required to prove legal guardianship for students who are not residing with their parents.

Examples of acceptable vital statistics are as follows:

  • Canadian Birth Certificate
  • Visa
  • Canadian Citizenship Certificate
  • Adoption Certificate
  • Passport
  • Permanent Landed Immigrant/ Residence Document

New registrations are submitted by parents/guardians online via the Clive School website under Registration.

When registering your child, it is very important that you use correct legal names (as seen on the vital statistics document). You will be asked to upload a scan/photo of the document when you register your child the first time at Clive School. Since a student’s academic record is linked to this information, registering under a different name may result in incomplete academic records for later use in post-secondary placement and employment resumes.

Age of Admission to Kindergarten

Every child in the attendance area who has attained the age of five (5) years on or before the last day of December of the school year may attend.

Legal proof of the student’s name, citizenship and birth date are required the first time that the student registers in a Wolf Creek school.

The kindergarten program is a four hundred seventy five (475) hour program.

2022-23 Clive School Student Fees Information:

PARENTS: Fees will be charged per field trip, and permission forms will be submitted, on-line via Parent Portal (Rycor). Parents will be informed by the teachers regarding the details (including fees, based on cost recovery) for each activity. The following information is just to inform you of approximate costs for field trips during the school year.

Kindergarten field trips: $75.00 (educational field trips approximate cost per student)

Grade 1-9 field trips:: $50.00 (educational field trips approximate cost per student)

Options User fees:

Master Chef Cooking Option $25 per term (one term only; to cover part of the cost of

cooking supplies i.e. food)

Music Option: $25 for musical instrument upkeep- one payment per student per year

School Social Worker

At Clive School we strive to meet our students’ individual needs. Our School Social Worker provides assistance to students and their families experiencing difficulties at school, home, or in the community. Please call the school (403-784-3354) if you would like to access this program.

School Photos

Smart Photography will be taking school photos this year. Photos will be used for the yearbook and photo packages will be available to parents for purchase.

School Newsletter

A newsletter will be made available each month, usually on the last Wednesday. To access newsletters, please visit the Clive School website: clive.wolfcreek.ab.ca

We encourage not-for-profit community groups to advertise events in our monthly newsletters. Please have information to the school office at least one week prior to the last Wednesday of the month.

Transportation of Students in Private Vehicles

RE: Wolf Creek Policy Administration Procedure No. 565- Transportation of Students in Private Vehicles

On the occasion that private vehicle transportation (parents or staff) is required, certain guidelines must be met. Please see the Wolf Creek Public Schools website to view Procedure 565 for details. A current copy of the Volunteer Driver Authorization Form (565-1) as well as a copy of the certificate of insurance showing $2 million liability must be on file at the school each year.

Clive School Council

The School Council’s mandate is to work toward ensuring the best possible education for all students within that school. The School Council provides a structure in which parents, principal, teachers, students and community members can talk about education in their community. The School Council is also a vehicle by which everyone in the school community has a voice in educational issues, and parental input is encouraged and valued. Some of the roles and responsibilities of the School Council are: to focus on the best interest of all students, maintain high ethical standards, actively seek and represent the views of the school community, and inform and involve the school community.

Clothing

School Dress

  • Students are to dress appropriately in respectable attire for school. Footwear and shoes are to be worn at all times. Students may wear hats in the hallways and store them in their lockers. Items deemed inappropriate will include all those which contain vulgar/profane sayings or graphics; those with connotations related to drugs/alcohol/sex/or violence; revealing clothing of any kind (e.g. beach wear, short skirts/shorts, bare backs, any more than 2 cm. of midriff, etc.). Persons deemed to be inappropriately dressed will be asked to rectify the situation by changing into something more appropriate or by being sent home to do so.

Physical Education

  • The students in grades 5 to 9 are required to change into gym clothing for all Physical Education classes. Students should have clean shorts and t-shirts. Students must have a separate pair of runners to be used for indoor gym, and should use their everyday runners for outdoor gym classes. During the fall, some form of sweat suit would also be practical and comfortable as many classes will take place out of doors (weather permitting.)

Health and Well-being of Students and Staff

If parents have any particular medical concerns regarding their child’s health, please communicate any concerns with the child’s teacher, as well as outlining this information clearly on the annual online student registration update form.

  • Administration of Medication to Students

In exceptional circumstances, students may be assisted with their medication at school. Please see the Wolf Creek Public Schools website, Administrative Procedure 316, for details. A current year parent and physician form (Form 316-1) must be on file at the school.

Head Lice

We request that parents occasionally check their children for head lice. This will prevent an outbreak of head lice at the school.

  • Student Health

Clive School Teachers have access to their students’ medical information that is recorded in the PowerSchool system. We do our best to share pertinent medical information with staff members who need to know. Medical information should be updated on the Student Profile/Registration forms that are filled out by parents at the beginning of each school year. To ensure that our records are up-to-date and accurate, please inform the school office of any emergent medical concerns.

Nutrition

  • Vending machines

There are vending machines in the junior high end of the school. Healthier snacks are available for purchase, as well as juice and water.

  • Hot Lunch Program

Clive School (Parent) Council provides the opportunity for students to participate in the hot lunch program. Hot Lunch will be available on a pre-order basis starting in the fall. Hot lunch may be ordered online via Parent Portal. Parents will be informed via email when hot lunch is available to order. Thank you to our Clive School Council for supporting our school with the hot lunch program!

  • Breakfast Program

Each morning, nutritious food and juice items are served (free of charge) by volunteers. This program is available to all staff and students. Watch the Clive School monthly newsletters for more information. We greatly appreciate the volunteers who organize and run the Breakfast Program! What a great way to start our days.

Grade 6 Outdoor Camp- Camp Evergreen

For many years, our grade six students have joined other grade six classes from Wolf Creek schools to experience Outdoor Camp at Camp Evergreen near Sundre, Alberta. This camp offers students the opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities together and meet new friends from other schools. The camp runs for three days (two nights) in June, and cost for each student is approximately $190 per student. Parent volunteers (4 or 5) are needed and are charged a reduced camp fee to supplement their food costs at camp.

Emergency Response Plan/ Inclement Weather

  • Emergency Response Plan

In striving to provide a safe, secure and caring school environment, a response plan for emergencies that may occur has been developed. This plan is explained to students and reviewed throughout the year. Becoming familiar with the Clive School Emergency Response Plan and its importance is taken very seriously by administration and staff. Evacuation and lockdown drills are scheduled periodically throughout the year in order to ensure that all students and staff members react appropriately should an emergency occur.

  • Inclement Weather and School Closure

A decision on non-operation of school buses and the closing of the school will be made prior to 6:30 AM. School closures and bus cancellations will be announced on the Wolf Creek website www.wolfcreek.ab.ca , via Auto Phone Alerts from the Wolf Creek District Office, as well as radio stations (Sunny 94, Zed 99, Big 105 and CKGY) all prior to 6:45 AM. For further information, see Wolf Creek Administrative Procedure 132, Closure of Schools Due to Inclement Weather.

In the event of school closure due to inclement weather, all after-school activities and school related meetings will be cancelled. Other activities may be cancelled at the principal’s discretion, e.g. sporting events and rehearsals.

School Volunteers

The Wolf Creek School Division acknowledges that school volunteers, through their donation of time and talent, provide a valuable contribution to the successful operation of the school. Volunteer screening and risk management are critical aspects of duty of care relevant to the success of having school based volunteers.

Effective September 2018, Wolf Creek School Division requires that all school volunteers complete a vulnerable sector check prior to volunteering. Administrative Procedure 490 may be reviewed by parents on the Wolf Creek Public Schools website. People who wish to volunteer may also drop in at the school office to pick up a Volunteer Package. These include a Volunteer Application form as well as a Criminal Record Check and Declaration form and Vulnerable Sector Check application, which can be brought to a local RCMP detachment where they will conduct the check at no charge. We will keep Vulnerable Sector checks on file at the school for 3 years.

Student Information

  • Items Brought to School

The school will not be responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen items. Students who choose to bring money or valuables to school are reminded to store them safely with themselves or locked in their lockers.

  • School Locks on Lockers

It is recommended that personal items such as cell phones and personal devices be secured in lockers, as Clive School cannot be held responsible for students’ lost or missing items. Students (mostly in junior high) who own locks purchased from Clive School in previous years may continue to use them on their lockers. Red-faced locks may be obtained from Clive School for a $5.00 deposit. At the end of the student’s time at Clive School, they are to be returned to the school and the $5 will be refunded. It is an individual choice whether a student wishes to use a lock or not, but NO personal locks are allowed. If a personal lock is found on a locker, it will be removed.

  • Leaving School Grounds (only available for students in Gr. 7-9)

Students are required to stay on the school grounds during breaks. Those who wish to leave the school grounds during lunch /noon break are required to have a parental permission slip on file. This “Permission to Leave School Grounds” form will be sent home with junior high students in September for parents to sign and return.

Please note: the Skate/Ramp Park is out of bounds during the school day.

  • Recess and Noon Hour

Students in grades K-6 will be expected to go outside at recess and noon hour unless inclement weather has resulted in the calling of an "inside" recess or noon hour. Children who are too ill to go outside at recess and noon hour are normally too ill to be at school. During “inside” days, students will participate in supervised activities in their classrooms during recess breaks.

  • Busing

Expectations for student behavior at school extend to conduct on the bus.

If a student is not going to be on the bus, it is the parent’s responsibility to ensure the bus drivers are aware of this. (Arrangements for bus absences or extra riders must be made ahead of time and cannot be made through the school office.)

  • Cell Phone/Personal Devices Policy

All students in Grades five through nine have Chromebooks assigned to them and this diminishes the need for personal devices in the classroom. Students who bring cell phones into class are to abide by the teacher’s cell phone procedures. If abuse of those procedures occurs then cell phone privileges will be lost and cell phones will be left on the teacher's desk for a period of time. If continued abuse occurs, then parents will be notified and cell phone use could be discontinued for those particular students. Absolutely no pictures or videos are allowed to be taken without the permission of all people in the picture or video. Students are encouraged to store their personal devices in their locked lockers when they are not using them, as Clive School cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged personal devices.

If it is essential that parents contact their child immediately, they can phone the school office and we can call to the classroom directly, or get a message to your child.

**The use of video or picture taking with cell phones in the bathrooms or change rooms is strictly prohibited, and severe consequences could result as it pertains to privacy issues.

Statement of Purpose: Clive School

At Clive School we value a positive and responsive learning environment that optimizes student learning and success. Clive School is committed to providing an environment free from bullying, harassment, discrimination and violence. With the combined responsibility of all of the school’s stakeholders; school trustees, school staff, students, parents, and community partners; a safe, caring, respectful and inclusive learning environment is possible to achieve.

The Clive School Code of Conduct is intended to establish and maintain an appropriate balance between individual and collective rights, freedoms, and responsibilities in the school community. Our purpose is to promote student learning, growth and understanding as well as ensure that students possess a strong connection to their schools as welcoming, caring, respectful and safe places focused on their individual success. This Clive School Code of Conduct will be reviewed annually and be publicly available on the school’s website.

Statement Regarding the Alberta Human Rights Act (AHRA)

In accordance with Wolf Creek Board Policy 19, at all schools within Wolf Creek School Division No. 72, an attitude of respect for each other is fostered and nurtured amongst all members of the broadly based school community and members of the general public who may attend at schools, or school supported or sponsored functions. Acceptable behaviors must be consistent with the avoidance of discrimination, as discrimination is defined by the Alberta Human Rights Act. AHRA prohibits discrimination on the basis of an individual's race, color, ancestry, place of origin, religious beliefs, gender, physical disability, mental disability, marital status, family status, source of income or sexual orientation. Discrimination or bullying of any form, including but not limited to the use of electronic media, at any school or school supported or sponsored functions is not acceptable.

Responsibilities of Students, Parents and Staff

Student Conduct Expectations:

The Clive School Code of Conduct establishes expectations, interventions and possible consequences for student behaviour. Students will be held accountable for unacceptable behaviour and conduct that occurs both inside and outside of the school building or school day, if the conduct negatively affects a member of the school or interferes with the school environment. Behavior may include use of electronic means (e.g. social media).

Students have a responsibility to respect the rights and dignity of others and to become actively and productively involved in their own academic learning and social growth. Students are valued and contributing members of their school community and accept the responsibility for their behaviour while at school, at school sponsored activities, or while engaging in other non-school activities that have a direct influence on maintaining a welcoming, caring, respectful, and safe learning environment in the school. While school staff are not able to control what students do outside of school, when the behaviour has impact on the school environment, there may be consequences or interventions for inappropriate behaviour. Students shall comply with the School Code of Conduct and the requirements of section 12 of the Education Act as outlined below:

Acceptable Behaviour:

In accordance with Part 3, Division 1, Section 31 of the Education Act and the School Code of Conduct, a student, as a partner in education, has the responsibility to:

  • attend school regularly and punctually;
  • be ready to learn, and actively engage in, and diligently pursue your education;
  • be accountable to your teachers and other staff for your behaviours
  • ensure that the student’s conduct contributes to a welcoming, caring, respectful and safe learning environment that respects diversity and fosters a sense of belonging,
  • respect the rights of others in the school,
  • refrain from, report and not tolerate bullying or bullying behaviour directed toward others in the school, whether or not it occurs within the school building, during the school day or by electronic means,
  • comply with the rules of the school and the policies of the board,
  • cooperate with everyone authorized by the board to provide education programs and other services,
  • be accountable to the teachers and other school staff for the student’s conduct, and
  • positively contribute to the student’s school and community.

Unacceptable Behaviour:

Minor Offences: Small conflicts or minor offences will be dealt with on the spot or in a timely manner by staff members.

Minor offences may include:

  • Not following classroom rules which have been created at the start of the year
  • Small conflicts on playground or rules not being followed
  • Interrupting the learning in the classroom by calling out or being loud
  • Running in the hallway
  • Not waiting your turn
  • Not playing a game fairly

Major Offences: Will be mediated with staff and student(s) and in most cases involve administration.

Major offences may include:

  • when a pupil is guilty of open opposition to authority
  • when a pupil is guilty of willful disobedience
  • for habitual neglect of duty
  • for the use of improper or profane language
  • other conduct injurious to the moral tone or well-being of the school.
  • ongoing behaviours that interfere with the learning of others and/or the school environment or that create unsafe conditions;
  • acts of bullying, harassment, or intimidation/discrimination;
  • acts of violence, physical aggression or threatening behavior;
  • retribution against any person in the school who has intervened to prevent or report bullying, harassment, or stop an incident that might cause harm to others;
  • illegal activity such as: possession or use of weapons; possession or use of alcohol, drugs or other forms of intoxicants; possession or use of tobacco or tobacco products
  • theft or damage of property.

Major Offences may result in the suspension and/or expulsion of students as per Section 36 of the Alberta School Act which states:

Suspension 36(1) A teacher or a principal may suspend a student in accordance with subsection (2) or (3) if in the opinion of the teacher or principal (a) the student has failed to comply with section 31, (b) the student has failed to comply with the code of conduct established under section 33(2), (c) the student’s conduct, whether or not the conduct occurs within the school building or during the school day, is injurious to the physical or mental well-being of others in the school, or 2012 Section 37 Chapter E-0.3 EDUCATION ACT 42 (d) the student has distributed an intimate image of another person in the circumstances described in section 1(1.1). (2) A teacher may suspend a student from one class period. (3) A principal may suspend a student (a) from school, (b) from one or more class periods or courses, (c) from transportation provided under section 59, or (d) from any school-related activity.

Consequences of unacceptable behaviour will take into account the student’s age, maturity and/ or individual circumstances. Support will be provided for any students who are impacted by inappropriate behaviour as well as for students who engage in inappropriate behaviour. Although the code of conduct will address issues such as consequences for unacceptable behaviour, the primary focus of the Clive School Code of Conduct is to help students learn how to communicate effectively, resolve conflict, tolerance, understanding, develop empathy and become positive citizens both within and outside of the school community.

Clive School Supports and Interventions

Description:

  • Using proactive and preventative approaches to reduce the occurrence of unacceptable behaviour and maintain environments that are welcoming, caring, respectful, safe and are conducive to teaching and learning.
  • When responding to unacceptable behaviour, first consideration will be given to the safety and security of students, staff, and other members of the school community;
  • Students feel safe, important and trusted and have the opportunity to develop, assume and maintain responsibility and self-motivation;
  • There is a joint effort to learn and a feeling of mutual respect among staff, students and parents;
  • Appropriate behaviour is consistently encouraged and reinforced, thus increasing social emotional competencies including self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making;
  • Ongoing and timely communication exists between staff and parents to encourage and provide the opportunity for active and constructive parental involvement in the education of their children.

A pyramid of supports addresses how Clive School creates a safe and caring environment and positive school climate in which structure, support and encouragement is provided to assist the student in understanding the importance of education, and developing a sense of self-discipline and responsibility while making a positive contribution to society. Parent(s)/Guardian(s) Conduct Expectations:

Parent(s) and guardian(s) are partners with respect to their child(ren)’s education. Part 3, Division 1, Section 31 of the Education Act states a parent has the prior right to choose the kind of education that shall be provided to the parent’s child, and as a partner in education, has the responsibility to:

  1. act as the primary guide and decision-maker with respect to the child’s education,
  2. take an active role in the child’s educational success, including assisting the child in complying with section 31,
  3. ensure that the child attends school regularly,
  4. ensure that the parent’s conduct contributes to a welcoming, caring, respectful and safe learning environment,
  5. co-operate and collaborate with school staff to support the delivery of supports and services to the child,
  6. encourage, foster and advance collaborative, positive and respectful relationships with teachers, principals, other school staff and professionals providing supports and services in the school, and
  7. engage in the child’s school community.

Staff Conduct Expectations:

Staff members are partners in the education of the students. WCPS staff have various codes of conduct that they must comply with that stipulate standards of professional practise expected to be demonstrated by teachers and support staff.

Definitions that Pertain to the School Code of Conduct

  • Bullying: According to Alberta Education (2015) bullying is a repeated and hostile or demeaning behaviour intended to cause harm, fear or distress, including psychological harm or harm to a person’s reputation. It often involves an imbalance of social or physical power.

Bullying behaviours are a form of aggression and can be:

  • Physical – For example: poking, elbowing, hitting
  • Verbal – For example: name calling, insults, racist, sexist or homophobic comments, put-downs or threats
  • Social – For example: gossiping, spreading rumours, excluding someone from the group, isolating, ganging up

  • Cyber – For example: social or verbal bullying through the use of email, text messages or social media.

  • Discrimination: The denial of individual rights and freedoms in a manner which contravenes the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and/or the Alberta Human Rights Act (AHRA) (2015). Discrimination on the basis of race, religious beliefs, colour, gender, gender identity, gender expression, physical disability, mental disability, age, ancestry, place of origin, marital status, source of income, family status or sexual orientation of that person or class of persons is prohibited.

Traffic Safety

  • To ensure a safe school environment, the Village of Clive has made the road into the school one-way only.
  • The entrance will be north of the Clive Hall and the exit will be south of the Clive Hall. All vehicles will drive in the same direction as the school buses.
  • The alley to the south that passes by the school staff parking lot will be one-way only. The entrance will be from the south.
  • These one-way restrictions will be in place only on school days in the morning from 8:00 - 9:00 AM and in the afternoon from 2:00 - 4:00 PM.

Parent Drop Off of Students in the Morning

  • Parents may stop and drop off students along the sidewalk in front of the school as long as they immediately move on so that bus unloading is not blocked.
  • Parents who are bringing their child into the school should park their cars in the Community Hall parking lot and escort their child safely across the road to the school.

Parent Pick up of Students in the Afternoon

  • Parents should park in the Community Hall parking lot. Children will cross to their parents’ vehicles at the locations patrolled by Student Crossing Patrol.
  • Parents are not to stop in the Bus Loading Zone in the afternoon.
  • Parents should avoid driving by the parked buses just in case a child fails to obey all of our safety procedures and crosses between the buses.

Children Walking and Riding to School

  • The School will, as much as possible, impress upon students the need for crossing Clive’s Main Street only at the designated crosswalks, as well as for always walking on sidewalks.
  • The law requires students to wear bicycle helmets when they ride bicycles.

Junior High Awards

Following are the student awards implemented at Clive School:

Clive Character Awards

Students will be selected for this award for consistently demonstrating the following traits:

  • Integrity-doing the right thing, owning your mistakes and working to improve
  • Responsibility-being on time, having materials needed, completing tasks
  • Effort-doing your best on all tasks
  • Respect-showing respect to all members of the school community and property
  • Empathy-showing compassion and kindness for others

Honors Awards

  • Honors Awards of Distinction will go to those students who have pursued excellence and maintained a 90% average in the core subjects.
  • Honors Awards will go to students who have maintained an 80% average in Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies.
  • Top Honors will go to one student in Grades 7, 8 and 9 who have received the highest average in the four core subjects as of May 31 of the school year.

Athletic Awards

  • Athletic Awards will go to students who have participated in at least three of the extra-curricular sports programs offered at Clive School (volleyball, basketball, badminton, curling, cross country running, golf, and track and field.)
  • Athletic Awards of Distinction will go to students who have participated in at least four extra-curricular sports programs offered at Clive School.
  • Male/Female Athlete of the Year Awards will go to the male and female student athlete in Grade 9 who participated on three or more sports teams throughout the year. This athlete will have demonstrated outstanding skill, leadership and dedication to their sports. Their best efforts will have been put forth in both practices and competitions, and they will have contributed to the success of the teams throughout the year.
  • Sportsmanship Awards will go to the student athletes who have shown excellent cooperation, fairness and a positive attitude throughout the season. These athletes will have demonstrated encouragement towards their teammates and respect towards the coaches, officials and opponents.

Academic Diligence Awards

This award is granted to students who have worked diligently and demonstrated hard work and perseverance with their studies. This student may not achieve high academic standards, but consistently works to the best of his or her ability, and has not achieved “honors”.

Clive School Appropriate Use Policy RE: Use of Technology at Clive School

The Chromebooks (Gr. 5-9) are provided to students for their use during the school day to enhance their learning in the classroom and to develop the skills they need today and in the future. Inappropriate use (willful damage) will result in students paying for the damages and this will be communicated with their parents.

Students will be taught appropriate use guidelines in order that they fully understand the expectations and how to use the available technology responsibly. Therefore, inappropriate internet use by individual students will result in logical consequences so the behaviour will hopefully be altered in the future.
