Digital Poster Instructions

Add interest to your poster by:

  • Use a solid color for background with contrasting font
  • Changing font sizes
  • Bolding certain terms
  • Inserting a lot of images, graphs
  • Using different colored or thickness of text box borders
  • Using different color or font for your title
  • Fewer words, more images
  • Use bulleted lists where you can, avoid long pieces of texts

Shortcut Keys:

Insert a new text box

B Insert an image

Change the fill color of the text box

Nnn Change the border color of the text box

Change the thickness of the text box

border

Change the style of the text box border

Note: You are not limited to the formats on the next few slides. Just ensure that your poster has some organizational scheme to it. You will be able to zoom in, so it is okay if some of the font is smaller. I would not go less than 16 point font. The size of the slides have been adjusted to 36 x 24 inches (under File > Page Setup > Custom).
