Grading:

Your grade will be the summation of points with assessments weighing twice as much as classwork or homework assignments.

Homework:

  • Homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday.
  • Each night for homework you are expected to complete 20 minutes of iReady.
  • You will show work in your notebook (in pencil) for each problem you solve in iReady.
  • You will need to have the date listed in your notebook for your work.

Math = Showing Work

  • You need to show that you did your very best on every math problem you work on.
  • I should see that you made an attempt to solve every problem.
  • If you get stuck on a problem, make sure you use all your resources to try and work the problem out. Resources can be: notes, watching videos, asking the teacher, using your online math textbook.
  • You will need to show work for EVERY problem that you complete on ANY assignment (homework, classwork, quizzes, tests, etc.)
  • NO work/no credit.

All work is to be done in your notebook. You will need to label each assignment with the date, class period and what the assignment is. Make sure your work is numbered according to the assignment and that it is neat and organized. It would also be helpful if you highlight your final answer. Answers to word problems MUST be in a complete sentence.
