Early Learning and School Readiness: Virtual Lab Study
Researchers with the Virtual Lab School at Ohio State are looking for participants in a new study. The Virtual Lab School (VLS) focuses on empowering early care and education professionals, in knowledge and practice through an online professional development system. Our team has just launched a study that examines the effectiveness of an online professional development training that targets the use of teachers’ culturally responsive, inclusive, and socially just practices for early childhood educators and we’re looking for participants who teach Preschool! Participants will participate in an online, 4-6 lesson course, with or without virtual coaching, that is focused on their understanding, beliefs, and practices relevant to equity, racial identity, diversity and social justice in their programs. Participants will also complete a pre- and post-test survey at the beginning and end of the course, and complete 1 lesson activity per course. To thank teachers for their time, 5-6 hours of Ohio-Approved PD credit will be given at the conclusion of the study and $20 in gift cards at submission of each of the pre-, post-test, and follow-up surveys (for a total of up to $60 in gift cards). Interested participants can visit https://go.osu.edu/bigideastudy to complete the screening and enrollment form. |
