Assignment 11 - Double Exposures
Here are the two I used:
Assignment 11 - Double Exposures
STEP 1:
Copy and arrange layers
Make a plain white background
Remove background from main subject with Quick Select & Select / Mask
Assignment 11 - Double Exposures
STEP 2:
Make Layer Masks that REVEAL SELECTION on both the subject layer and the same one on the background image.
Assignment 11 - Double Exposures
STEP 3:
Paint black on the layer mask to erase it.
Lower the opacity on the soft brush so that the effect is subtle.
Paint white back on if you erase too much.
Assignment 11 - Double Exposures
STEP 4:
Background - either use the same photo you blended your subject with and edit it..
...OR..
Find a new photo or even a solid background. Experiment to see what looks cool.
Assignment 11 - Double Exposures
STEP 5:
Try an Adjustment Layer to make your art have a different color effect.
You can turn them on and off like a regular layer if you don’t like it.
These are called NON-Destructive Edits.
Assignment 11 - Double Exposures
Final Edits:
The remainder of the video shows you a cool text effect, how to crop your photo, and how to add a frame.
These are optional steps to enhance your art but not required.
