Updating Your 4-Year Plan

Common Questions

  • Review the courses in your plan for 11th & 12th grade.
    • Do you have enough classes planned each year to earn a minimum of 7 credits?
    • Have you selected the correct level of the course (where applicable)?
    • Add alternate courses just in case!
    • Your plan is complete when Credits Still Needed = 0.

Where do I add courses that I am planning to take this summer? Summer 2025 coursework should be added to the 10th grade column.

What if I am trying to decide between several different electives? For now, add your first choice course then add other options you are considering as Alternate Courses.

46 of 53

Things to Consider…

  • Have I challenged myself with some advanced coursework such as AP classes, dual credit classes or IB classes?
  • Have I included electives that help me explore my interests?
  • Have I created a plan that provides me with academic and extracurricular balance?
  • Have I included classes in my plan that will help me achieve my post-secondary goals?
  • Does my plan include enough classes so that I am earning at least 7 credits in 11th grade & 7 credits in 12th grade?
  • Have I added Alternate Courses to my plan that I am willing to take if my 1st choice course is not available?
