• NOTE: this template has already been set up to accommodate for some of these considerations, for example, background has been set to pastel color (rather than white background, which is difficult to read for some) and we used sans-serif font. Feel free to adapt this template but please consider the following advise. 
• Slide Design & Readability: Use a high-contrast color scheme (e.g., dark text on a light background or vice versa). Avoid using color alone to convey meaning (e.g., supplement with labels, patterns, or text). Provide sufficient spacing between lines and avoid overcrowding slides. Ensure any text or visuals are aligned with a left-to-right reading order to assist screen readers.
• Multimedia & Alternative Formats: Add alt text to all images, charts, and infographics. If using videos, ensure they have closed captions and audio descriptions. Provide transcripts for audio-based materials. Avoid flashing animations or rapid movement, as they can trigger seizures in individuals with photosensitive epilepsy.
• Verbal Presentation & Delivery: Speak clearly and at a moderate pace. Describe key visuals verbally for those with visual impairments. Use a microphone whenever available to assist those with hearing impairments. If taking questions, repeat the question aloud before answering for clarity.
• Interaction & Engagement: Avoid putting pressure on audience members to respond verbally—consider anonymous responses or written contributions. Ensure assistive technology compatibility (where appropriate)
• Handouts & Supporting Materials (if you choose to use additional materials alongside the presentation): Provide slides and handouts in accessible formats (online where possible) Offer materials in advance for attendees who may need extra time to process content.
