Solar Savers Program

Solar Savers is a local government initiative working with 27 councils across Melbourne
5 councils providing additional subsidies/rebates to vulnerable households
Solar, hot-water heat pumps, split systems and batteries
Vetted suppliers, customer support and audits on 5% of installs

Scaling Up – Communications & Engagement

What is needed

A multi-level governance approach leveraging the capabilities and resources of each sphere of government
Facilitated access to trusted suppliers and concierge services
Expansion of upfront subsidies through new and existing government programs
Trusted communicators and local information in everyday language to reach diverse communities
Education and long-term support for households throughout their upgrade journey
