Reading lab is designed for students who need small group instruction, tutoring, extra help, and reading/writing skills support. The major objective of this class is to ensure student success in school through reading and writing instruction and support. Other objectives of this support lab are to spend time working on IEP goals and homework for English.

In order for your student to have a successful year in the Reading lab, it is necessary to communicate and set guidelines about student behavior and expectations, as well as classroom policies.

This year we will focus on the reading intervention that was developed to assist students who are in need of support in this area. Student will be graded on their in class work, assessments and reading logs.

If students are absent, they will need to complete any work they missed.

On collaborative Wednesdays students will spend time working on their own IEP goals. Due to this activity, students may not have time to complete work from their other classes on collaborative Wednesdays in order to ensure there is adequate time to work on IEP goals. Students who refuse to work on IEP goals or other teacher-assigned skill-building activities may not earn full credit for the day.

Este año nos centraremos en la intervención de lectura que se desarrolló para ayudar a los estudiantes que necesitan apoyo en esta área. Se calificará a los estudiantes según su trabajo en clase, evaluaciones y registros de lectura.
