WHAT'S OUR PURPOSE?

  •  Our goal while developing this project was to design a machine that measures data that astrophysicists and people interested in this field can use and calculates using this data. And despite all the difficulties, we succeeded in reaching our goal by using the necessary formulas and the necessary information we obtained as a result of research.

ABOUT OUR PROJECT

  •  With the telescope we designed in our project, we calculate
  • approximately when the stars we see when we look into space will complete their lifetime and when the effect of the event (for example, supernova) that may occur as a result of completing their lifetime can be measured on Earth.
  •  In addition to all these, the machine we designed will output which star is the star we observed, the data of this star (via the database) and our calculations on a screen.

DETAILS OF THE PROJECT

With the formula we developed, we calculate the lifetime of the star we want to observe, and then we find the remaining lifetime after subtracting its age from the total lifetime, so we find the approximate time when the star will complete its lifetime. Then, we add the data in years of the result obtained from the division of the distance between us and the star by the speed of light to the remaining life of the star, and find out when the results can be observed approximately on Earth.

    SOFTWARE DETAILS

  • The software we use receives GPS data and finds the stars at your location. We select which star we want to get information about from the touch screen and see the information about it. The software we write calculates this information and calculates when the star we are looking at will run out.

 MECHANICS OF THE PROJECT

We adjust the viewing angle of the telescope with the cover on it. We can observe the telescope through the small hole in the front. We used a periscope-like structure there.

 SUMMARY

  • If we need to summarize our project, you can find information that you are curious about or want to research, that has movable and especially when that star will end its life.
