What is SmartMETRICS?

A Raiser’s Edge plugin that lets you add scores to the information in your database.

Using information already in your database you can work out:

who is most likely to give the most
who is the most (or least) involved
who has had most contact from you in the past year
whether your campaigns are successful
Or apply any other formula

all at the click of a button.

How can you use it?

Get intelligent with supporter data:

divide donors into groups from most to least generous
work out which factors make constituents most likely to volunteer, or give major gifts
affinity testing
and much, much more.

Not sure how?

SmartMETRICS has a self-learning tool to help you work out what you might want to score.

Point the tool at a group of “preferred” constituents and SmartMETRICS will work out which factors connect them.

In effect, it teaches users how to build a metric.

Is it easy to use?

Yes: anyone who has used queries in the Raiser’s Edge can use SmartMETRICS.

The wizard will guide you through:

assigning scores
where the information goes
how it is presented.

SmartTHING will help set up a simple Metric as a training exercise, and make sure you’re happy to run with it.

How often will it run?

Once the metric is set up, it can be run at the click of a button.

Run it every day, once a week, or once an hour
Save the score to track historical changes
Or replace the old score with the new one

Every metric can be updated at once, or only one at a time.

Metrics is extremely flexible.

Scores are stored in their own fields, so will not change anything else
