Materials

Grade 2 & 3

  • 9x12 Black construction paper
  • 4.5x6 Blue

construction paper

  • 4.5x6 contrasting color construction paper - 2
  • 4.5x6 Green paper
  • Pair of scissors
  • Pencil
  • Sharpie
  • Glue stick

Cut wavy strip the 6x4.5 Blue & Green construction paper

Glue down 3 strips of blue and 3 of green and overlap it.

Keep overlapping and alternating the colors and glue all of them down.

Procedure for Grade 2 &3

Fold the 2 contrasting color 4x6 paper vertically

With the open side facing you draw one side of the organic shape. Make 2 different shapes on 2 colors

Cut it out

You will be collaging both the positive and negative space to add a variety of shapes

Create a composition by arranging and taking a look at it. Once you are happy with your composition glue all of it down
