The Cambridge Curriculum is dedicated to helping schools develop learners who are confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged. The program is designed to be accessible to students with a wide range of abilities and backgrounds, and it is intended to provide a solid foundation in art and design principles. The IGCSE Art and Design program is divided into two main components: the coursework component and the exam component. The coursework component is worth 60% of the final grade, and it requires students to complete a series of practical assignments that demonstrate their artistic skills and abilities. Students are required to produce a portfolio of work that shows their ability to use a variety of techniques and media, as well as their ability to develop ideas and create a coherent body of work. The exam component is worth 40% of the final grade, and it consists of a practical exam that takes place over a set period of time. During the exam, students are given a theme or topic to explore, and they must create a piece of artwork that demonstrates their ability to respond creatively to the given brief. The program is very demanding thus students need to be working on their Art projects in school but mostly at home. Help them to be Creative and reach their artistic goals!

Unequivocally, the most effective way to stay completely aware of everything that is going on in our class is to join and view our Google classroom.

On it you can view our daily agendas which are posted a day prior to every lesson, view all of the assignments and projects that have been assigned and completed, watch the videos our class has viewed, and review all of the resources, including the very thorough unit notes and revision guides, that have been shared with your daughter or son.

Additionally, you can view our Google site which is much more general in nature but will still keep you up to date in terms of current units, assignments, and projects and assessments. You can view our Google site either via the school’s main website.
