    • Hackathon 35+ attendees, 140 conference attendees, 30+ Paytaca staff

ColdCard Disaster

  • ColdCard entropy in seed generation allows all user wallets to be guessed-and-swept
  • At least 1500 BTC stolen so far (100 mil+)
  • A relatively “small” crypto hack, but has hit hardest on the most self-assured BTC guys, and/or people who followed the influencer network (nvk & all his sponsored podcasts)
  • Attacker has consolidated all the funds (intentionally? A taunt?)
    • Evidence emerging that perhaps it was a slow-delay inside job?
  • BCH needs XO templates, guides & more to protect multisig vaults of coins
