SACRIFICE OF LOVE

The Greatest Event in the History of Mankind

2 of 11

THE PROBLEM: SIN

“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” (Romans 3:23)

Every person is born in sin and rebellion against God.

Our default disposition is bondage and enslavement to depravity and the devil. It’s as if we’re chained in a prison cell with no way to escape.

THE CONSEQUENCES: DEATH

Because of our rebellion against God, our enemy the devil has legal rights to harm and harass our lives.

Sin has a penalty, and that penalty is DEATH—eternal separation from God in the fires of hell.

Unless we can be rescued, we’re headed toward destruction fast, and we’ll be lost—forever.

“For the wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23a)

THE PLAN: SALVATION

God loves us more than we can imagine, and He does not want anyone to perish.

So He demonstrated His love for us by sending His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, the Savior of all mankind, into this dark world to save us.

Jesus took the punishment that was rightfully ours. He took the blow that was intended for us.

THAT IS AN EXTRAORDINARY REALITY…

GOD DIED FOR YOU…

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

THE FREEDOM: FORGIVENESS

Jesus Christ shed His blood for us so that we could be justified, forgiven, and redeemed.

He suffered, died, and rose again, so that we could be freed from the chains of sin!

“I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hell.” (Revelation 1:18)

THE GIFT: ETERNAL LIFE

In Him, and through His death and resurrection, we can receive the free gift of eternal life!

We can escape from the road that leads to destruction! Instead of spending eternity in hell, we can live in heaven forever with God!

“…the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23b)

THE CHOICE: DEATH VS. LIFE

We are all given a choice.

We can either accept God’s free gift of salvation, redemption, healing, and new life…

Or we can reject Him and remain in bondage and slavery.

Which will you choose?
