Introduction of Statutes proposal

  • Extraordinary Congress in December 2020
  • Task-force created in January 2021
    • Simon Hill (UKU CEO / GBR),
    • Volker Schlechter (DFV president / GER),
    • Felix Nemec (EUF representative / AUT),
    • Richard Kollar (EDGF president / SVK),
    • Haude Hermand (EFDF president /FRA).
  • Draft version submitted to the EFDF board in May. Discussions with EFDF board, WFDF Secretary General and task-force on several topics.
  • Approval of the EFDF board in October to send the draft to WFDF.
  • Approval of the WFDF on the draft.
  • Draft sent to the EFDF members for Approval.
  • Vote to approve the new statutes : 2/3 majority needed.

Purposes of EFDF (§2)

  • Foster sports and flying-disc sports recognized by WFDF
  • Represent Flying disc sports recognized by WFDF in front of European sport and institutions organisational committees of multisport games (EOC, EUSA…)
  • Represent European Flying-disc sports before multi-sport events organization committees
  • Support WFDF activities in Europe
  • Create a forum for Flying-Disc federations in Europe

Question from Spain

  • “What is exactly the status for Beach Ultimate. EBUC is organized by WFDF. What about EBUCC ? BULA has announced EBUCC in 2022. “

  • Beach ultimate is a discipline, like Ultimate and DIsc-Golf. The future organization for Beach Ultimate is to be decided (specific federation or other).
  • In the meantime, European Championships are under EFDF responsibility. EFDF will contact BULA to discuss EBUCC.

  • “Representatives from EUF and EDGF in the board are voted by Congress ? “

Yes (§9.1)

  • “Are EFDF events restricted to EFDF members ?”

No. Other associations may participate (ex : Disc-golf associations), like it is done for WTDGC.

  • “Will there be a EFDF member fee ?”

No fee for ordinary members, fees for EUF and EDGF. Event fee on a case by case basis.

Next Steps

  • Once the statutes are approved, EFDF will be created in Austria, with the help of the Austrian federation.

  • New board elections will be organized during a Congress in January.

  • Call for candidates will be made shortly after this Congress.
