Dates, Times and Locations - APC

  • Kindergarten
    • Thursday, May 28 from 9:15-11:15 am
  • First Grade
    • Wednesday, June 3 from 9:15-11:15 am
  • Second Grade
    • Thursday, June 4 from 9:15-11:15 am

  • Arrive by 9 to sign in (table outside Main Entrance) and set up station
  • Do not park in the Drop Off Parking Lot
  • All stations will be located in the Drop Off Parking Lot, Gym and Music and/or Art Rooms

Dates, Times and Locations - AES

  • Friday, May 29 from 9:15 am – 1:45 pm (tentatively)
  • Rain Date of Tuesday, June 2 from 9:15 am – 1:45 pm
  • Field Day will be held at Ohio Township Park
    • Soccer fields
    • Both pavilions
    • Playground
    • Nature Center

  • Arrive at the park by 9 to sign in at the Large Pavilion and to set up your station

General Information

  • All Stations will be marked
  • All stations will be 11-13 minutes in duration with a 2 minute transition time
  • A whistle will blow to provide a “2 minute warning”, and then again when it is time to rotate
  • All students will progress through all stations in numerical order
  • APC
    • Students will meet in the gym at 9:15 to receive instructions and take a picture
    • Students will participate in activities with their homerooms
  • AES
    • Students will receive instructions at school and upon arrival to the park
    • Students will participate in activities with their Bridges

General Information

  • Water will be available, but all students should bring a full water bottle
  • Popsicles will be provided to APC students after they complete all stations
  • A snack will be provided to AES students at Station 11

  • For AES, if you plan to take your child home after Field Day, you must email Mrs. Machen prior to the day of Field Day to notify her. There will be a sign out sheet at the park, however, students will not have belongings with them, so if they need a backpack, instrument, etc, they will have to ride the bus back to school and be picked up there.
    • There will be no last minute dismissal accommodations made at the park

General Information

  • Under no circumstances are other children permitted to attend Field Day
  • Under no circumstances are volunteers to call students’ parents if there is a problem
    • Find the Principal, nurse, or myself if there is an issue that needs to be addressed
  • Volunteers are responsible for running the activity at each station. Teachers may assist if needed. If there is an issue requiring discipline, alert the teacher and let them address it.

APC Stations

  • All stations have been planned by the gym teachers, with the exception of the Craft/Teacher gift station, and will be different from last year (mostly)
  • Once the games have been finalized, group assignments and instructions will be sent
  • Please familiarize yourselves with the games, and feel free to modify if time permits

APC Coordinators

  • Coordinators will be contacted separately to discuss needs for each Field Day
  • Responsibilities may include:
    • Set up
    • Clean up
    • Assisting with station progression
    • Bringing coolers prefilled with ice and bottles of water
    • Bringing large water coolers filled and ready
      • Filling cups for students to take when needed
    • Freezing and bringing popsicles for students

AES Stations

  • All stations have been planned by the gym teachers, and will be different from last year (mostly)
  • All students will be familiar with all activities prior to arrival
  • Bridges will be divided into 6 groups, which will remain the same throughout the day
  • All stations will receive a clipboard with the schedule for the day and instructions for the activity
    • The schedule and instructions will also be emailed so everyone can reference it at any time throughout the day
    • The schedule will be followed exactly as written so please keep students at your station until time is called - you can play the game multiple times, modify, or let the students cool off, if needed

AES Schedule

  • All students will arrive to OT Park at the same time
  • Once students arrive, they will place their lunches in the assigned bins, then proceed to their first station
  • Activities are planned to begin at 9:45
  • During Time Slot 6, we may need 1-2 volunteers from each station to get the lunch bin that correlates with the group they will have at that time
  • Lunch locations are divided by grade level to allow students to see friends who are not in their Bridge
  • Bring a lunch and water bottle for yourself
  • Volunteers will have 1 open time slot during the day

Supplies Needed

  • If anyone has the following that can be used for AES Field Day, please let us know
    • Tents
    • Large water coolers (orange Gatorade type) - bring filled with ice and water
    • Coolers with bags of ice to refill water coolers
    • 5 gallon buckets (need 4-6)

Sign Up Genius

  • A Sign Up Genius for snack donations will be sent seeking donations of goldfish, or a similar allergy friendly option
  • We will also ask for donations of Gallons of water to refill water coolers in lieu of providing water bottles for all students
    • Bottles will be available for those students who forget theirs
