Welcome!

Good morning! I am Principal Taylor and on behalf of the Jordan faculty and staff, I would like to welcome you to the start of the school year. Though this school year will be unique in many ways, please know our desire to ensure that all students graduate on time and with options has not wavered. The JHS Virtual Learning Planning Team has prepared a Student Expectations document to help you successfully transition to the virtual model. We will use the advisory period to help teach the expectations. We truly are in this together and as one student in our virtual learning focus group shared, we all should understand that this is a new experience for everyone. ��This week is Orientation Week. Orientation Week will provide you the opportunity to become more familiar with Canvas, video conferencing, and other tools to support virtual learning. This week will also provide you the opportunity to participate in community building activities with your classmates and learn more about your teachers. Teachers will begin taking attendance in PowerSchool today.

As you look at your whole schedule for the 2020-2021 school year, you could have both yearlong courses (A/B day) and semester long courses.

This student will take French I, Hon Eng II, Animal Science and Microsoft Excel in the first semester. The other four courses will be taken in the 2nd semester.
