Instructuction for Illiterate Students�

For students who don´t know the latin alphabet

Lasts about one year

the study program also includes Maths and English

The Elementary Stage�

student who already know the latin alphabet can start from this level

lasts 1-1.5 years

Assesment criteria –> pass/fail

introduction to Finnish, English, Math, Biology, Geography, History and Social studies

Special support for literacy if needed

The Final Stage�

The minimum requirement to reach this level is a strong A2.1 level in all aspects of Finnish language skills

Assesment criteris: Numerical from 4-10

Usually lasts 1 - 2 years.

Welfare Officer

Welfare officer helps students with different kind of everyday matters

The welfare officer helps and supports students with various life situations.

You can make an appointment with the welfarre officer when you want to confidentially discuss issues that are weighing on your mind.

Such things can be, for example, things related to studying, relationships, finances, housing or even becoming independent.

Psychologist

The school psychologist helps students with mental well-being issues through discussion
Free, voluntary and confidential
A chance to talk and discuss issues
Safe secure help, the student is not alone
